The role:
Cater Care Services seeks to appoint engaging hospitality professionals for a Full Time Utility All-Rounder/Bus Driver roles to work across our remote mining village operations in Burnie (Savage River), Tasmania.
The successful candidates will be required to undertake both Utility and Bus Driving duties as required.
The position will be on a 1 week on 1 week off roster, on a Drive In Drive Out (DIDO) basis within Tasmania.
What the role will involve:
- Bus driving - driving residents to & from the mine and around camp
- Ground maintenance - mowing and trimming of the grounds
- Bus cleaning - keep the fleet of buses clean
- Rubbish collection - emptying of bins around camp
- Stock control - pickups and deliveries around site
- Overall maintenance - pickup , cleaning and delivery of overalls
- Loading - loading and unloading of deliveries
What we require from you:
- Must hold a valid HR licence and have previous bus driving experience
- Hospitality experience, particularly within kitchen and housekeeping operations
- A National Police Clearance within 6 months, or willing to obtain
- Ability to work well with other team members
- A commitment to genuine, friendly customer service
- A motivated, enthusiastic and positive ‘can-do’ attitude
- Adherence to first-class food & general safety practices
- Ability to understand and comply with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Physically fit and able to work long hours with repetitive tasks
- Pride in personal appearance & hygiene
- Ability to work in varying degrees of heat, cold, humidity & inclement weather
