The role:
Cater Care Services seeks to appoint an experienced Gardener with horticultural qualifications to join our team in Cloncurry. Your chief responsibility in this role will be to maintain the beautiful gardens and grounds at our Ernest Henry Mining Village. This is a permanent full time role on an 8 day on 6 day off roster, fly in fly out from Brisbane or Cairns.
What this role involves:
- The beautification and maintenance of the village gardens and grounds
- Maintenance tasks including pruning & hedging an assortment of plants
- Mulching, fertilizing, irrigation, pest & disease identification/control
- Lawn maintenance
What we require from you:
- Must hold a manual drivers licence
- Hold horticultural qualifications
- Similar experience within a remote environment is preferred
- Ability to work well with other team members
- A commitment to genuine, friendly customer service
- A motivated, enthusiastic and positive ‘can-do’ attitude
- Adherence to first-class food & general safety practices
- Ability to understand and comply with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Physically fit and able to work long hours with repetitive tasks
- Pride in personal appearance & hygiene
- Ability to work in varying degrees of heat, cold, humidity & inclement weather
